Catherine L. Druschel
Formerly of Beaver
Catherine L. Druschel, 96, originally of Beaver, PA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 7, 2018, in Beaver Falls, PA, Catherine was born on March 16, 1922 to the late Wesley J. Whippo and Elizabeth Brant Whippo, Rochester, PA. She enjoyed an active life and lived independently until her passing.
Catherine was a gifted seamstress. As a student she made new cheer uniforms for Rochester High School. She loved fashion and interior design, had her own alteration business and made custom draperies. Catherine was active in her faith and used her talents in 2016 to make a set of 25 choir robes for her church. She was a member of the Alliance Women's Missionary Society and the Beaver County Christians Women's Club.
A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver W. Druschel in August 1987, and three siblings, Robert (Sally) Whippo, Dorothy Whippo, and Kenneth (Delores) Whippo. Catherine is survived by her sister, Bonnie Lou (Don) Wakley, and her three children, Cora Mae (Lenard) Cable, Susie (William) Walker, and James (Nadine) Druschel, She will be greatly missed by her nine grandchildren; Kim (Steve) Brown, Guy (Tonya) Cable, Coreena (Rich) Bailey, Zoie (Jim) Boone, Chris (Joey) Jones, Mathew (Deborah) Walker, William (Patty) Walker, Elizabeth Druschel, and Grace Druschel. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Todd Funeral Home Inc., 340 Third Street, Beaver, PA on Sunday, April 15th from 2-8 pm, and at Marion Hill Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, New Brighton, PA on Monday, April 16th at 10 am. The Reverend James Krouse will conduct the funeral service at 11 am. Private interment will be at Sylvania Hill Memorial Park, Rochester, PA. Memorial donations may be made to the Alliance Missionary Fund.
